|Milwaukee 2797-22 M18|
(Best for the Money)
|Makita CT226||10 lbs||4.5/5|
|VonHaus 9100010||12 lbs||4.3/5|
|Ridgid X4 R9602||13 lbs||4.0/5|
This is definitely the best drill combo kit out of all of the picks on the list, it is easy to use and handle which means you can have more fun drilling and putting together whatever you need than you ever have before. It is also made with the user in mind and features multiple extras that many drill combo kits don’t have. The Milwaukee 2797-22 M18 doesn’t require batteries so you can just simply charge it up and get drilling whenever you please, one charge lasts nearly 2 hours of constant drilling which is pretty impressive. However, the worst thing about this model is that it isn’t too cheap since it is high quality and manufactured in the USA it does carry a higher price tag, but we’re willing to pay it since the product is proven to be worth the money! This model has the most torque you can get with a cordless drill and has user-friendly controls that have proven to reconvert many other customers from tools brands to Milwaukee.
For those of you who are on a budget you may be wanting to get a cordless drill combo kit for the best price, but you shouldn’t have to settle for low quality just because your budget is a little lower than usual. The Dewalt DCK240C2 allows the buyer to have a great quality product at a fraction of the price you would normally pay for such a good kit. Likewise, to our number one, it has a rechargeable battery tool that allows for multiple uses without going through hundreds of batteries. The kit includes a drill and impact and both pieces of batteries for each item are also included. The weight of the whole kit is only 9.1lbs which means it’s a pretty lightweight product, especially for a drill kit. Therefore, meaning if you’re wanting to do work for several hours on a project then you won’t feel tired or ache because of the weight of the model. This kit is also relatively cheap too, if you were to buy the separate drill and impact from Dewalt then you would naturally pay more, so by investing a little bit more money into the kit, you are also saving money. However, there have been complaints of the light ring on the drill not working properly for some customers, this could be down to the fact that it’s a budget model and isn’t the best quality.
If you’re a professional out there looking for a cordless drill but think that 12V tools aren’t good enough then you need to realize they are! The Makita CT226 is perfect for anyone who is starting out or even those who have been in the DIY industry for decades, it’s just so easy to use and handle that basically anyone can use it. The kit includes a drill driver and impact as well as the batteries to go with them, the drill is a low 2.5lbs which means you can do endless hours of drilling if you want, the impact is even lighter weighing only 2.3lbs with the battery amp attached. Collectively we would say this is a great kit for the money you pay, and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The quality is great, but it lacks something the top 2 have and that’s personality. It may sound strange, but this Makita kit feels very professional which could be seen as a good thing, but we would consider a bad one too.
This combo kit comes with the standard driver and impact for drilling, it also has the batteries to go with it as well as some extra bits. The charging time is 40 minutes which is a huge bonus but the battery can sometimes take a lot longer to charge especially when it completely dies and runs out of charge, it could be up to an hour or longer for the battery to come back on again and get full power. The VonHaus 9100010 kit is quite expensive for the quality of the products you get and a lot of customers expect more from the combo kit altogether. It is also heavy for a kit as most are around 3 pounds whereas this is nearly 4 meaning that the drill and Impact must be a lot heavier than the others on this list. If you’re wanting a replacement battery (which you may need after some wear and tear on the ones provided), then they’re not really affordable which can put you in an awkward state. The two settings option on the drill is also difficult to change and control which makes drilling with the model harder than it should be.
We would definitely recommend this product if you want to waste your money on a product that doesn’t do anything it claims and is basically like flushing your cash down the toilet! Actually no, we’re joking, this kit is probably one of the worst we have ever come across and gives budget combo kits a bad name. It claims to help with heavy-duty tasks, yet it is very heavy and can’t be held for long amounts of time unless you want your hand to feel achy and sore. The impact driver and drill have limited power and the battery life is very short. Considering there are hundreds of other combo kits out there for the same or even a cheaper price than this for a better quality, it would be better to look around than put your money into this. The batteries take a long time to charge and the charge only lasts around half an hour which is a third of the time that our first-choice lasts (as it lasts an hour and a half!) and overall it’s just a bad product with a lot of negative features.
Likewise, to everything, before you purchase something you have to know everything behind it, from what makes it a good product to what makes it a bad one. Buying a product without knowing how to use it or considerations to think about would be like buying the fastest car in the world when your maximum speed is 50 on the highway, it’s just not meant to be. We’ve put together some things you might want to consider before you buy your cordless drill combo kit so you don’t end up wasting your money when you shouldn’t!
After putting together our own knowledge and the different reviews of cordless drill combo kits, we can conclude that the best has got to be the Milwaukee 2797-22 M18, as well as being a great brand, this combo kit has everything anyone could ever need. Whether you’re a professional who has loved drilling since you were a young 5-year-old, or you’re someone who has only recently found a love for drill combo kits, this is something you will make use and time out of. We hope that this list has helped you along your purchasing journey and that you now have more of an idea of what you want and how you want to purchase. Finding the perfect drill combo kit that suits all your needs may seem hard, but if you know what you’re looking for it’s not so difficult – some may even say it’s simple! Happy drill shopping to all of you who will now invest in a great kit!
